U8s & U10s finish on Sunday 21st March
The majority of U12s finish on Sunday 14th march - 2 squads will be selected to play in the Deirdre Ennis Shield on 21st March - and all are very welcome to support and help out on the day. The tournament is run by Muckross so having all hands on deck makes a big difference! Girls selected are expected to bring sandwiches and buns on the day!
There are 2 matches for U14s on 14th March - teamer messages have issued. A mixed 5-a-side internal tournament for the remaining 1st to 3rds years will run from 1130 to 1pm - again teamer messages have issued.

The 5th & 6th class groups went to Sligo at the end of February for the annual cross border tournament run by Yeats Hockey Club.
The Muckross Stars won the event making it 2 in a row. Great speech Anna!!
Yeats County pulled out all the stops to organise the tournament and the party on Saturday night. Many many thanks Yeats - our girls had “the time of their life”- and it really was a case of “its the taking part that counts”… despite what Tom Humphries might say!!
Well done to the weekend guest “coaches” Lee & Liz who brought the team through to victory! And finally - well done to all of the Muckross Players who travelled - they were a credit to themselves, their families and their club.
Please note that all sisters who are looking for a place next September need to apply this year even if they had previously put their name down. Membership applications are now closed - but if there is a sister of an existing member who did not fill in and return the application form in January then you need to contact mhcmembership@gmail.com urgently. We are currently reviewing applications and considering our options regarding spaces / pitch time etc for next year. Remember that sisters are given preference only if there is space available in the age group and the application has been received.
U12 training 2010 : Thanks to all for responding to text survey - there are a significant number of “no’s” to the Thursday evening option and this will be taken into consideration as part of our deliberations regarding pitch time and training slots.
Trip is now booked, but if some current 2nd yrs still want to sign up we should be able squeeze them in! Please contact muckrosscolts@gmail.com if you want to sign up. Senior Club
All teams in the Senior club are either topping their division or are at least in promotion spots for next season. There are a number of current juniors on the 1st XI & 2nd XI squads (Avril Dooley-O’Carroll, Jane Gilsenan, Rebekah Murphy, Sophie Nolan and Sophie Whelan). Please feel free to come down and support the teams in the final weeks of the season - there are some crucial games coming up for the teams.
