Leinster Leagues are run in line with class groupings - and as such there is no upper age restriction within the age groups - U16s are  in 3rd & 4th Year in school, U14s are in 1st & 2nd Year in school. 

Matches are intended to be a fair mix of home/away as suits clubs to organise. 

Clubs are expected to field teams in each league in line with their declared entry -e.g. “A” standard teams in A leagues and “B” standard teams in B leagues.  At U14 there is a play-off between sections for Cups which have been donated by Muckross, Mount Anville and Corinthians.  There is no play-off and there are no league cups between the U16 sections.

U14 & U16 Fixtures are agreed at the start of the season, typically by the end of September and the practice has been for the U12/10/8 groups to arrange matches at the same time. THERE IS NO LEAGUE FOR U12s, U10s or U8s and all inter-club blitzes are intended to be “friendly/mixed-ability” events with coaches helping both teams at the same time.  From time to time competitive matches may be arranged between clubs at the U12 level.
